Rob Fuggetta
Founder and CEO

Rob is the driving force behind Zuberance's vision and strategy. He founded Zuberance in February 2007 because he saw a major opportunity for companies to harness the power of Word of Mouth and social media to drive sales. As CEO, Rob is ultimately responsible for all aspects of Zuberance's business including product, engineering, operations, customer success, and sales and marketing. Rob is a 20-year veteran of Silicon Valley who has played a leadership role in three start-ups including Genuity, which went public in June 2000. Rob was formerly a partner at Regis McKenna Inc., the legendary Silicon Valley marketing and communications firm, where he co-led the global Apple business.

Deep Varma
Vice President of Engineering and Products

Deep Varma has over 17 years of software engineering experience in the Internet and software industries. He is a results-oriented, solution-driven engineering executive with a successful track record of leading and executing engineering teams and projects, driving strategic technology roadmaps and uncovering new business opportunities. Varma enjoys bridging strategic software development and hands-on programming using both local and offshore teams to deliver unparalleled results.

Prior to Zuberance, Varma co-founded a SaaS-based social business networking company and was part of the Engineering Management team at Yahoo! and other Fortune 1000 companies in Silicon Valley.

Varma is a Management Graduate from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. He enjoys attending technical conferences, reading & writing blogs, building prototypes using new technolgies, skiing and working out. Varma lives in East Bay with his wife and two boys.

Tami Bhaumik
Vice President of Customer Success

Tami Bhaumik is a seasoned, award-winning marketer with over 20 years of consumer and business-to-business marketing experience on both the client and agency side. As Vice President of Customer Success, she will be responsible for ensuring that Zuberance's customers and agency partners get the maximum marketing value from the Zuberance Advocate Platform.

Bhaumik was formerly Vice President of Marketing at VOIP provider Ooma, where she successfully re-launched the Ooma VoIP home phone system. Before Ooma, Bhaumik helped build the brand for Sling Media, Inc., the leading provider of video place shifting products and services for consumers and television service providers. She also has more than ten years' experience at top tier agencies such as Goldberg, Moser, O'Neil; J. Walter Thompson; and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Filiberto Selvas
Vice President of Products

Filiberto Selvas is a Product Manager Executive with extensive experience in Digital Marketing, Social Media and CRM. He is a hands-on, results-oriented, solution-driven leader with a successful track record of managing and contributing directly to the successful creation, launch and growth of Digital Marketing Products.

Prior to Zuberance, Filiberto worked at several Social Media startups as well as large Software companies such as Microsoft and IBM.

Gordon Ritter
General Partner, Emergence Capital Partners

Gordon Ritter is a Founder and General Partner of Emergence. He has spent over 15 years building companies which pioneered new markets including embedded web-based interfaces, server appliances, "On Demand" services for the SMB market and web-native application development. He led Emergence Capital's first investment, in the On Demand leader Salesforce.com . Gordon was named to the Forbes' Midas List of the top venture capital investors in 2007. He currently sits on the boards of Genius, Ketera, Lithium, PivotLink, Veeva Systems and Zuberance.

Prior to founding Emergence, Gordon was co-Founder and CEO of Software As Service, a Web services platform company he created with Marc Benioff, the Chairman and CEO of Salesforce.com. Software As Service is the origin of Salesforce.com's Force.com platform. Prior to forming Software As Service, he was Vice President of the $3 billion IBM Global Small Business division, created as a result of IBM's acquisition of his company, Whistle Communications in 1999. Gordon's division was responsible for partnerships with dozens of technology-enabled service companies as part of IBM's On Demand computing strategy. He led IBM's launch partnership with Salesforce.com. Prior to IBM, Gordon was co-Founder and President of Whistle, a pioneering Internet appliance and services platform for small and medium-sized businesses.

Before Whistle, Gordon was co-Founder and President of Tribe Communications, a networking infrastructure company. Tribe pioneered WebManageTM, acclaimed as the first HTML-based network management software. Tribe was acquired by Zoom Telephonics (ZOOM) in 1996. Prior to Tribe, Gordon was a VP of Capital Markets at CSFB in New York, where he headed the Collateralized Mortgage Obligation (CMO) group.

Gordon is married and has four young children, including a set of twins, and lives in San Francisco. He is currently a Trustee of Marin Country Day School. He has a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University where he rowed on the heavyweight crew and has continued rowing in the Bay Area. He also enjoys running, cross-country skiing and mountaineering.

Deepak Kamra
General Partner, Canaan Partners

Deepak Kamra has been a venture capitalist for nearly 20 years - identifying innovative companies that disrupt the status quo to become leaders in their fields. After an 11-year career growing technology startups into successful global leaders, Deepak joined Canaan Partners in 1991 and is focused on investments in digital media and software. Deepak led Canaan's early investment in DoubleClick, the Internet's first and leading online advertising solution; Match.com, the most popular dating site worldwide; and ON24, the leader in webcasting and virtual events. He also invested in voice-over-IP infrastructure company Acme Packet, which became one of the top-ten performing IPOs of 2006, and SuccessFactors, one of the most successful IPOs in 2007.

Deepak has been quoted in publications such as Bloomberg, The Silicon Valley Business Journal, Fox Business News, and The Deal, and speaks frequently at industry events, including The Harvard VC and PE Conference, TiECon, the Global India Venture Capital Association Conference, and Venture Summit Silicon Valley.

Deepak led Canaan's investments in, and currently sits on the boards of, technology-driven global companies such as e4e, a global business services company; GroundWork Open Source, the leader in commercial open source systems and network management software; ON24, the global leader of webcasting and video communications solutions; Plixi, a real-time media sharing platform for the social web; Zmanda, world's leading provider of open source backup and recovery software; and Zoosk, the largest social dating network in the world. He also directed Canaan's investments in AllBusiness.com (Acquired by NBCi), Bharat Matrimony, Concord Communications (acquired by CA), Impulse! Buy Network (acquired by Inktomi/Yahoo!), iPrint.com (acquired by MadeToOrder.com), Latitude Communications (acquired by Cisco), PriorityCall Management (acquired by LHS), Recourse Technologies (acquired by Symantec), and SalesLogix (acquired by The Sage Group). Recognizing early the global nature of venture capital, Deepak initiated Canaan’s investments in the India market starting in 2001.

Before joining Canaan, Deepak was a key member of the startup team at Aspect Communications, helping lead the pioneer in call center technologies to a successful IPO in 1990. He has also held leadership roles at telecommunications companies like ROLM Corp. and TRW Datacomm International.

Deepak received a BA from Carleton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In his spare time, he is involved in several microfinance initiatives to spur economic growth in developing nations and currently serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee at Deutsche Bank’s Global Microfinance Consortium. He was included on the Forbes Midas List in 2008 and 2009, a prominent list ranking the best dealmakers in technology and the 2009 AlwaysOn Venture Capital 100 which highlights the one hundred individuals who have backed the most profitable winners in the last four years. He currently serves on the Board of the National Venture Capital Association.
